Making Tamil literature accessible to all
Tamil is one of the world's longest surviving classical languages, with a literary tradition spanning more than 2,000 years. Yet much of this heritage remains inaccessible — locked away in physical archives, out-of-print books, or scattered across the internet in inconsistent formats.
Padippakam was founded in 2022 to change that. We digitise, translate, and curate Tamil works — from ancient Sangam poetry to modern fiction — and make them freely available to anyone, anywhere in the world.
